How accurate are the measurements?
Matterport Pro scans are accurate to within about 1% — suitable for space planning, as-built drawings, and scope documentation. For structural or survey-grade work we'll tell you up front if a laser survey is the better tool.
How long does a scan take?
A typical home or small commercial space takes one to three hours on site. The walkthrough is live within a day; floor plans and point-cloud exports follow within a few business days.
Can you do progress scans during construction?
Yes. We scan at the milestones you choose — commonly after framing, after rough-in, and just before drywall — and again at completion. Each stage is saved as its own walkthrough, so months or years later you can see exactly where a pipe, wire, or blocking runs without opening a wall.
Can I get files for Revit or AutoCAD?
Yes. We deliver E57 point clouds and OBJ meshes, plus DXF floor plans, so your team can import directly into Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Chief Architect.
What is pre-loss documentation and why would I want it?
A scan of a property before anything goes wrong. If there's ever a fire, flood, or storm claim, it proves exactly what was there — finishes, fixtures, condition — which is the single strongest piece of evidence in a contents or rebuild dispute.
Who owns the scan?
You do. We host the walkthrough for you, and you can request the raw files at any time.
What does it cost?
Priced per property based on square footage, with volume pricing for firms that scan regularly and package pricing for multi-stage progress scans. We'll quote it before we schedule — and the first scan for a new design or construction firm is discounted so you can see the deliverables on a real project.
